Meet Dr. Mark Rogers

Through his love of sports, Dr. Mark Rogers has been drawn to working with an active population who desire to be healthy. He started his path to practicing Family, Osteopathic and Sports Medicine with a BA in Chemistry from University of North Carolina-Charlotte before studying Health Care Ethics at Duquesne University and obtaining his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical Center.
He completed his residency in Family Medicine and served as the Chief Resident at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill before transitioning to a Sports Medicine Fellowship at VCOM/Virginia Tech. He has also served as the Medical Consultant for the Montgomery County Public Schools and Virginia Tech Sport Clubs, Team Physician for the Pulaski Yankees, minor league affiliate of New York Yankees and Team Physician/Chief Medical Officer for Virginia Tech Athletics.
Dr. Mark Rogers specializes in Osteopathic Sports Medicine and joint injections. He enjoys serving his patients, teaching the next generation of osteopathic physicians and loves having the opportunity to work with high level athletes in the region. Dr. Rogers has been recognized for this outstanding work through awards such as Fellow Awards from the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians, Award of Merit from the Virginia High School League, Master Preceptor Award from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and Best Bedside Manner, Family Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Sports Medicine Awards from Our Health Magazine.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Dr. Rogers loves the great people and geography of the New River Valley. Outside of the office, he can be found spending time with my family, taking advantage of local hikes, enjoying spending time on Claytor Lake and reading.
