Meet Dr. David Harden

“Every improvement, no matter how small, is a reminder of the body’s incredible ability to heal.” – Dr. Harden

Dr. David Harden began his journey in osteopathic medicine at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed a Predoctoral Fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Dr. Harden then completed his Osteopathic Rotating Internship at Allegheny Regional Hospital, followed by a Residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Family Practice at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

With more than 35 years of experience in clinical osteopathic medicine and medical education, Dr. David Harden brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and compassion to his patients. He chose osteopathic medicine for its hands-on, holistic philosophy, one that emphasizes the body’s natural ability to heal and function as an integrated whole.

Dr. David Harden has received numerous recognitions throughout his career for his clinical excellence, research and teaching. This including honors from VCOMOur Health Roanoke and New River Valley Magazine for his outstanding bedside manner and contributions to osteopathic medicine.

In the office, you’ll find Dr. David Harden doing what he loves most—listening closely to his patients, using a hands-on method to identify areas of strain or imbalance and applying gentle, precise osteopathic techniques to help restore comfort and function. He takes time to understand each person’s story and finds deep satisfaction in helping patients experience relief after years of pain or limited mobility. For Dr. Harden, every treatment is an opportunity to bring hope, healing and renewed movement back into someone’s life.
